Herbal-Pro app
We dont usually promote products but this Herbal Medicine app designed by one of our students is an exception.
The app was designed
with students in mind as a way to assist them in streamlining their consults
by:
- Having the ability to easily search over 500 herbs by brand and by action or common name
- Not having the stress of trying to remember the different ratios and dosage ranges between brands
- Not having to look up multiple resources to check pregnancy and lactation safety information or drug interactions
- Being able to see if a herb contains tannins or alkaloids
- Not having to try and work out child dosage calculations
The app includes a link
to a detailed user manual. There is a YouTube video tutorial,
which provides details about the app and how to use it. The database is
regularly updated with the latest herb information available in real time, each
time you open the app.
The background story and links to the Herbal-Pro resources can be found at www.insideoutnaturalhealth.com.au
Mendeley & Word 2016 incompatible
If you regularly use Mendeley on your Mac do not upgrade to Word 2016 at the moment, as its not compatible with Mendeley.
If you've already upgraded and want to continue using Mendeley on your Mac you need to UNINSTALL Word 2016 completely, and go back to the 2011 version.
Hopefully Mendeley will update their system soon to cope with Word 2016, just not yet!
