Nearly 90% of students have a smartphone
The Student Technology Survey 2013 found some changes in how students now study. Smartphones and electronic tablet ownership, along with demand for campus WiFi were the major changes in student technology usage for 2013. The big surprise was the increase in email usage, which may be accounted for by the current easy access to email on mobile devices.
The Survey paints a picture of students who own and regularly use technology for their studies and personal use. Facebook usage remained the same and social networking sites did not rise in popularity. The Survey summary is now available from campus libraries and Learning Centres. Endeavour management will be using the survey results and comments to assist in resource and programme planning. Many thanks for your contribution and feedback.
