The Library has created a new video which introduces you to a few tools to help you improve your knowledge and understanding of the human body. A good understanding of how to use them is a must for first year students.
Renee, the Perth Campus Librarian has created a short introductory video

that gives you a quick guide to SMART the extraordinary (Scientific & Medical Art Imagebase) which has professional diagrams that you can download, edit and use in your studies, as well as animations and printed information sheets (monographs) on different parts of the body and diseases.
She also looks at Visible Body which is a powerful 3D modeling tool which allows you to layer different parts of the body and test your knowledge. This includes muscles for those students doing musculoskeletal and Fitness programs.
Another tool is the Human Atlas which is part of the RealTime Health suite. There are animations to show the composition and functions of different parts of the body.
Log onto these tools, play with them to see how they can help you, and seek assistance from your campus library staff if you're unsure. Happy studies!
