In the next few weeks Brisbane and Melbourne students will be able to obtain new student ID cards from the Learning Centre/Library. The new system will be working from the week beginning 14th January, so feel free to come in, request a card and have your photo taken. Student cards are mandatory for sitting exams and library loans as well as transport concessions for full time students.
Soorn, the new smart cards will also be required for printing. Any remaining credits on your old printing accounts will be manually transferred to your new account. We will do this on request, as the new and old systems dont talk to each other. The good news is you'll be able to add credit to your card online through PayPal; no more minimum amounts and waiting in line!
If possible visit the Learning Centre in the weeks prior to semester to obtain you Student ID Card. This will help reduce the pressure on the staff as they learn how to use the new equipment and system. And we'll also try to help you with learning the new printing requirements too.
